Maryland Patient Information
Medical Marijuana has finally come to the state of Maryland. Now you may register and schedule an appointment in many locations throughout the state. You’ll complete your intake forms thru HIPAA compliant Tele-Health platform from the privacy of your home. Once that is done, you will schedule an appointment at the location of your choice. You will be evaluated and certified by a Maryland licensed Practitioner who has specialized training in the use of medical marijuana and is registered in the state of Maryland to evaluate the efficacy and safety of medical marijuana for your medical condition.
As a medical patient from the State of Maryland, you should be aware of the regulations established by the state. “Maryland Medical Cannabis Law” — HOUSE BILL 881
Patient Instructions
You must have a previous medical issue with some medical records to back it up. (Prescriptions, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment plan. Etc.) You are not limited by conditions…it’s up to your Practitioner to approve or deny you.
In order to be a patient, you must first register with the state. Use this link to register and get a number:
https://mmcc.health.maryland.gov/Registry/LandingPage.aspx
- Once you have completed and submitted an online application form, a verification email will be sent to the email address you provided on your application. You must click the verification link in the email message to verify your email account. Without performing this step, your application is not complete. Completed applications will be reviewed by MMCC and you will receive a follow-up email advising whether or not your application has been approved.
- Patients have told us that they state is ‘very picky’ about the form and if anything is wrong, or documents are missing, they well not approve you and you have to apply again. Utility bills to confirm the address must be no older that 30 days.
- Please retain the approval email for your records. It contains your Username, which you will need to log in to the Patient Registry, as well as your MMCC Patient ID Number, which your physician will need in order to issue your written certification for medical cannabis.
Once you have this number, you will need to provide it to the practitioner to complete your registration. However, do not wait to schedule your appointment. See the practitioner while you are waiting for your number.
Look at the Maryland Patient Information drop-down menu and choose the location you want. Click “Book appointment now”. Choose the days and times at that location, and you will get a confirmation email.
Maryland Practitioners Do Not Take Walk-ins, We Are By Appointment Only
Once you have completed your visit with your practitioner, and provided them with your state number, you will be able to purchase your medicine and access dispensaries, using just your MD License. We will mail to you a copy of your certification so you do not need to pay $50 to get a copy with the state. This is included in the price.
